The rollout for Carti's new album Music has been brilliant so far, with a consisten aesthetic, exciting surprise drops, and some of the best beats of his career.
I'm torn on this style of music - for some reason I really enjoy Carti himself, but almost all of the other music in this subgenre doesn't connect for me.
I'm not sure why that is, but one thing is for sure - he's rapidly becoming an era-defining artist.
Here, he once again links with Travis Scott for an etheral sub--banger, with the best annunciation of the word Quarterback since Any Given Sunday.
