Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with 250 underprivileged students from nearly every district of Jammu and Kashmir as part of the “Watan Ko Jano-Youth Exchange” program at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.
According to an official statement, the interaction at Modi’s residence was informal and open.
These students are on a tour of Jaipur, Ajmer, and New Delhi under the Central Government’s initiative.
In line with the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ spirit, the visit aimed to expose the cultural and social diversity of the country to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Prime Minister inquired about the students’ travel experiences, the iconic places they visited, and discussed the rich sporting culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
He inquired about their participation in sports and cited the example of Sheetal Devi, the young archer from Jammu and Kashmir, who secured three medals at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.
