The CrossFit Games Behind the Scenes started in 2011 by the Media Director at the time, Sevan Matossian.
Even while managing a growing media department at CrossFit Inc, Sevan embraced creating content at the same time.
In his own words, he was made to "glorify other people".
The series was beloved by CrossFitters all across the globe as it brought them close to the athletes themselves and made them fall in love with their favorites.
The series to this day is the most watched minutes of any content published by CrossFit Inc.
In 2018, the media department at CrossFit was dismantled and the series was shut down after it's wildly successful 7 year run: bringing many into the CrossFit fold and building a massive fanbase for the athletes and the sport.
In 2020, Sevan was fired from CrossFit after the founder Greg Glassman sold the company.
Not long after being fired, Sevan started The Sevan Podcast which has centered around long form interviews with people in all different facets of life, businesses, and interest.
A month before the 2023 CrossFit Games, Sevan was given the green light by Dave Castro, Don Faul, and the CrossFit HQ team to reignite the Behind the Scenes series, this time as a 3rd party media company.
Sevan formed a team of filmmakers and producers with short noticed to shoot the series, and Two Brain Business and California Peptides made the series possible financially.
The Behind the Scenes peels back the curtain of the CrossFit Games by following Dave Castro back stage, showing you the valleys and peaks of the emotion athletes go through, and highlighting the humans without the social media curation.
