Follow us on another delicious $5 lunch challenge adventure! This week, we look for cheap and healthy unprocessed foods to prepare a filling meal.
We head to the grocery store and start hunting.
After finding some baby spinach on sale, we go with the idea of a Thai mango salad.
We find tomatoes, limes, and we take some liberties by getting free salt and pepper packs from a Mr.
Sub sandwich shop.
Then we head to Bulk Barn for seasoning: crushed chilli pepper flakes and dried cranberries.
Should these be allowed in an unprocessed food challenge, or is it cheating? Either way, we end up with a nutrition filled, colourful, and mouth watering vegetarian Thai Mango Salad for under five dollars!
