In this interview, Arshan sits down with one of this generation’s most fearless & creative artists, Teezo Touchdown.
Teezo makes music that you can say is indie, alternative, rap, rock, and really just all the above.
They sit down to talk about his project “How Do You Sleep At Night” & what really went into making that, songs like “OK”.
Teezo was on tour during this time for the UTOPIA tour with Travis Scott..
so he talks about making Modern Jam with him in New York, and then eventually performing at Madison Square Garden.
Teezo also mentions how artists like Tyler The Creator and Drake took him under his wing.
They both featured him on their albums “Call me If You Get Lost” & “For All The Dogs”.
Teezo tells the exact story of pulling up to Drake and making their songs “7969 Santa” and “Amen”.
Teezo talks about how he used to study the come up of artists like Travis Scott and Drake to see what they were doing right and wrong, so he could then apply that to his career.
Teezo talks about downloading interviews of artists like Lil Uzi Vert from his library at Beaumont Texas and watching them as a teenager.
He also talks about how Sahbabii and Partynextdoor are his favourite writers, and how he would love to work with Frank Ocean.
