“Saudi Arabia is ready to recognise Israel.”
During an interview with late-night comedian Seth Meyers, US President Joe Biden said that Israel “would not engage in activities” during Ramadan, in order to secure the release of hostages.
Biden also mentioned that Saudi Arabia is 'ready to recognise Israel,' and he has been working with several other Arab countries towards recognising Israel, as well.
He added: “I get criticised for having said a long time ago, you need not be a Jew to be a Zionist.
I'm a Zionist.” Biden has repeated this statement throughout his career, as a way of reaffirming his support for Israel.
